Queering Conservation: How the LGBTQ+ Community Can Enhance Wildlife Conservation
Queering Conservation is a Senior Comprehensive Project done within the Environmental Science and Sustainability Department at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. This project looks into how the LGBTQ+ community has the ability to enhance wildlife conservation by making conservation more joyful and local community-driven.

The purpose of this project is to educate people about current conservation and biodiversity issues and about current LGBTQ+ rights issues that are occurring in America. Also, it explores how the queer community is impacted by species decline, along with how the community can help with the conservation movement.
Additionally, this project aims to show young LGBTQ+ people that are interested in conservation and ecology that there is a place for them in the field. I wanted to be able to educate and inspire young queer people with this project.
